Resource Management Services provides mental health rehabilitation services, including psychosocial skills training and solutions-focused interventions. Offices are located in Lake Charles, Jennings, and Lafayette, with services in several surrounding communities.
The overall goal of services is to ensure the individual is functioning to the best of their ability in the least restrictive environment possible by preventing out-of-school and out-of-home placements. To help achieve this goal, RMS staff coordinates with other agencies such as school systems, Juvenile Justice, DCFS, Probation and Parole, physicians, and other support systems in the community. As part of this coordination, RMS collaborates with local Primary Care Physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, and other medical professionals to ensure individuals receive medication evaluation and management.
Community based services are provided in the individual’s home, at school, other community locations, or one of the RMS offices. Crisis services are available after hours. Services are based on an assessment and the individual’s expressed needs.
