Outpatient Counseling Services

Outpatient Counseling services are available to individuals enrolled in Medicaid who also have mental or emotional health needs, who are at least six years old.  Counseling is provided by licensed individuals at school, in the home, or at the office.  Outpatient counseling can be stand-alone services for individuals not requiring intensive services or they can be used to supplement the other community-based services of PSR and CPST.

  • As a supplemental service, adults who complete a comprehensive assessment may be able to receive 24 supplemental counseling sessions in addition to other community-based services.

  • Children and adolescents can receive up to 24 stand-alone sessions per year OR as a supplement to other services.
